Last updated: 08/07/2026

Ledger Wallet 4.0 progressive rollout

The Ledger Wallet 4.0 update is being rolled out progressively, so you may not have access to the new interface yet. If the steps or screens described in this article don’t match what you currently see in your Ledger Wallet, this is expected.

Important notice regarding Ledger OS updates

  • Re-Pair Your Device After the November 2025 Ledger OS Update

After the November 2025 Ledger OS update, you will have to pair again over Bluetooth®. Simply open Ledger Wallet on mobile, navigate to My Ledger via the Profile menu in the top-left corner, and under the Device section, select Add new + then your device to re-pair it. If you have not customized it, your Ledger device will appear in the list of available Bluetooth® devices with a shortened name. For example, a device previously shown as “Ledger Flex 01AB” will now appear simply as “01AB”.

Update your Ledger device's OS to benefit from the optimal security level and user experience offered by our products. Updating your device has no impact on your crypto assets or the functionality of your device.

Before you begin

  • Update Ledger Wallet™ (formerly Ledger Live) through the notification banner or download the latest version.
  • Make sure you're using a desktop/laptop computer or an Android phone connected to your Ledger device via USB. Updating your Ledger OS™ on a tablet is not currently possible.
  • Make sure your 24-word Secret Recovery Phrase is available, as a precaution. Don't have your Secret Recovery Phrase?
  • Blockchain apps on your device will be automatically reinstalled after the update.
  • Linux users: If your Ledger Nano S™ device currently has version 1.5.5, you must add new udev rules. Check the Linux section of this article for instructions.
